Obedience behaviors are taught so the dog is starting to learn more acceptable behaviors when heeling and better control at home. Using positive methods of learning, this class will teach you how to reward good behaviors and discourage less desirable ones. Learn the basics such as heel, sit, down, come, stay, stand and finish.
Week 1 (Orientation - NO DOGS)
No prior behaviors are required. Dogs with uncontrolled behavior and/or resistance to training directions at the subsequent classes will be dismissed from class. They will be referred to a private trainer for evaluation and recommendation before returning to class.
