Purpose & Class Requirements:
This is an ongoing practice class for basic obedience and is available every other week on a drop-in basis (except the 5th Thursday of the month). Dogs attending drop-in must be able to heel, sit, down, come, stay, stand and finish. If you are having issues with a particular skill, this is a good place to ask for help.

Obedience skills are not taught in this class but it is a great place to practice and polish skills learned in the beginning or intermediate class and continue the socialization of your pet. If you are not sure if your dog has the proper skill level to participate in this class, please ask to speak to the training director for a quick assessment.
This class is offered year-round while our classes are in session. If in doubt, be sure to check the weather forecast link at the bottom of this page.
No RSVP is required, just show up.
The instructor will meet mid-parking lot on the section of the parking lot that parallels the zoo (not Park Blvd), between the orangutan & giraffe (#1 & #2) signs & has a red RAV4 vehicle.
No Aggressive Dogs Allowed, No Females in Heat.
Pre-requisites: Completion of the clubs Rally Novice Courses class.
Purpose & Class Requirements: The rally drop-in class is for members who have some experience in rally. A practice course will be set up that includes ALL levels of signs...Novice through Masters. Course maps will be provided and questions about particular signs will be answered. If you are having issues with a particular skill, this is the place to ask for help, polish your skills and prepare you for rally competition. You will be observed by one of the instructors as you go through the course and suggestions will be offered. A leash must be used at all times and positive reinforcement is acceptable (i.e. you can use food).
Day: Every TUESDAY beginning January 10th
Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm

For those who are interested in rally but have no experience, you may come and observe.
If there is time, one of the instructors will walk you through the course and explain the rules. If your dog is able to perform the following commands: sit, down, stay, come and finish, you may be able to try taking them through the course if time permits.

THERE IS NO CLASS HELD ON THE 5TH TUESDAY.
Purpose & Class Requirements: This is an ongoing practice class for the conformation ring. Limited instruction is provided, participants are able to hone their conformation handling skills by gaiting, stacking, and having their dogs examined in a conformation ring.
Conformation Drop-in class is a chance to practice and polish your skills as a handler in the show ring and help prepare you for competition. Treat every class as if it were a show.
Day: 1st thru the 4th TUESDAY, beginning January 10th
Time: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Conformation classes meet under the electric car charging stations. Coming into the zoo entrance from Park Blvd. on Zoo Place, take a right and class is on the immediate right (southeast end of zoo parking lot).
This class is not currently being offered.
Purpose & Class Requirements:
This class is for novice puppies over 16 weeks and inexperienced or experienced handlers in a relaxed atmosphere.
No dogs or puppies with major points already awarded in this class please. Learn to train your puppy or dog for the show ring, provide a general overview of conformation dog shows, assist new competitors to the sport in gaining a better understanding of what to expect at a dog show.

This class will be set up by a trainer and has hides in the following Elements: Containers, Exteriors, Buried & Handler Discrimination, at the following levels: Novice, Advanced & Excellent. If you are having issues with a particular skill, this is the place to ask for help, polish your skills and prepare you for scent work competition.

There will be no Drop-In scent work during our March session of classes. Check back in May for more information.
