Member Classes - Competition Obedience

Requirements:  This class is for dogs who have mastered the basic obedience skills such as come, sit, down, stay, and walking on a loose leash.  Your dog should be obedient and under control on a flat buckle collar, martingale collar, or choke chain.  If you need other equipment to control your dog, this class is not for you (yet!). Your dog must also be able to chill in a crate while other dogs work.  You will need to bring a crate to all classes.  Dogs will be crated when not working.  

Equipment for the first class: your dog, lots of tasty dog treats, a tug toy if your dog likes them, a crate, a chair, a buckle collar, and a six foot leash.

Class Length: 6 weeks

Cost: $100 for non-members, $80 for members

Class Size: Minimum of 4, maximum of 7 dogs

All classes are held in the San Diego Zoo Parking Lot.

No prong collars, e collars, or head halters allowed.

Class Description:This class will focus on teaching the skills needed to successfully compete in Beginner Novice and/or Novice Obedience.
